This prototype was spotted in a back room of the Cinelli booth at Eurobike 2010. Looks like 2011 is going to be pretty interesting. Hopefully there will be more news on this beauty soon.

Nice story over hat Gavins blog called SPINWELL. Really like his blog, it’s a bit more focused on classic race bikes and the history behind. He comes up with a lot good stuff to view and also to read.
He had the chance to visit the Reynolds Tubing factory and here is his story about it.
Some time ago the good people at Pristine Fixed Gear in Amsterdam introduced their own custom track frame. Just saw it today, but I’m totally stoked and in love with it….and I think i found my present for this years christmas.
This steel beauty is handbuild in Italy using Columbus Thron tubing. I think the price of 750€ is not really a steal, but really worth it. You can choose the chrome design, size and of course the colour. There is also a metallic paint possible. I especially like the Geo of this frame. Slightly pursuit with a sloping top tube, and it still takes 2x 700c wheels.
If you are around Amsterdam, make sure to check out the store and also take this frame built up for a spin.

This is the first german magazine dealing with modern bike/fixed gear culture. The first issue was released on 28th of september and is available in nearly every bookstore or newspaper stand. Finally I received my Mission Workshop Backpack. Talked about these some month ago. It’s the large version called “The Vandal“. To make it short: It’s huge, maybe a bit too much for me, but I will try it. Snapped some quick shots, as a preview for you guys.

Münster – Alte Rennräder erzählen Geschichten von Erfolgen auf der Bahn und auf der Straße und von spannenden Wettkämpfen. Diese Räder stehen nun im Mittelpunkt der Ausstellung «Leezenlust 2» im Stadthaus 3 am Albersloher Weg 33. Bis zum 10. Oktober präsentiert der Verein «Leezenkultur» dort alte Rennräder, auf denen Münsters Radsport-Veteranen Ruhm und Ehre erlangten. Auch Kataloge, Fotos und interessante Accessoires rund um den Radsport werden gezeigt – alles aus längst vergangenen Zeiten.
Eröffnet wurde die Ausstellung am heutigen Montag von Christian Schowe, Leiter des Amtes für Stadtentwicklung, Stadtplanung, Verkehrsplanung. Er freute sich gemeinsam mit Andreas Perk und Alexander Dahlhaus vom Vorstand des Vereins «Leezenkultur» über «die bemerkenswerte Ausstellung, die es in dieser Form in Münster noch nicht gegeben hat». Schowe: «Es ist schon beeindruckend, wie viele erfolgreiche Radsportler die Fahrradstadt Münster hervorgebracht hat.»
Zu sehen ist in der Ausstellung zum Beispiel die Rennmaschine von Clemens Schürmann. Der Münsteraner, der von 1888 bis 1957 lebte, war ein ganz Großer in der Radsportszene seiner Zeit. Er war erfolgreicher Profi-Bahnfahrer und nahm auch an Weltmeisterschaften teil. Später machte er sich weltweit als Konstrukteur von Radrennbahnen einen Namen.
Der Verein «Leezenkultur» hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, Fahrradkultur erlebbar zu machen. Bereits 2006 richteten die Mitglieder die Ausstellung «Leezenlust 1 – Von der Schönheit eines alltäglichen Gegenstandes» aus. Damals wurden im Stadthaus 3 ausgewählte Stücke aus der Sammlung historischer Fahrräder gezeigt.
«Leezenlust 2» ist Montags bis Mittwochs von 8 bis 16 Uhr, Donnerstags von 8 bis 18 Uhr und Freitags von 8 bis 13 Uhr in der Glashalle im Stadthaus 3, Albersloher Weg 33 zu sehen.
Wow, our friends from Suicycle in Hamburg came up with something huge! Just in time for the Eurobike 2010 in Friechshafen, they launched their own in-house Bike Company. The also new website looks great and they are introducing a lot of new stuff. Available in Spring 2011.
Some softgoods to show your attitude and also a solid range of track and trick frames. Made from high quality tubes and built to last. Especially the trick frames are bomb proof.
Personally I think this will change the German and hopefully the European market, there is a need for quality Parts. To much cheap crap out there…
