SWRVE handmade urban cycling apparel

SWRVE BirdHow can i introduce SWRVE in a appropriate way?
I think the title speaks for itself, but it takes some more words to describe this kind of passion:

“A late-night ride though a nearly deserted downtown. Casual rides to run errands.
Whizzing past rush-hour traffic. Fighting traffic as stress relief.

It is in this spirit that swrve was founded in the summer of 2005. We are passionate about
bikes but we don’t look so good in spandex.

Swrve makes stylish urban cycling apparel. Our design concept has always been clean and simple
lines. Form follows function, a dash of elegance and a dash of street.

We love riding in the city.”
- the founders of SWRVE

SWRVE handmade bicycle gear.

Today i got my order from the SWRVE base in the UK. Only took around 3 days to arrive. I’m amazed by such great workmanship and the passion SWRVE puts in every piece. Everything is well designed and with so much intelligent details.
I ordered a cotton trouser, a short with DWR, merino baselayer and a hiding hoodie.
All handmade in the US, with the best materials and also awareness for fair trade and fair working conditions.
And the best thing: the prices are reasonable, too.

SWRVE handmade bicycle gear.

Had the trouser, hoodie and baselayer on for some rides today and the performance was great. The weather wasn’t that good, about 13° and really windy, but the cloth kept me warm. Not bad.

Maybe check out swrve.co.uk when you are from Germany / EU
or swrvecycling.com when you are from the US and give them a try.

This May the 2nd European Handmade Bicycle Exhibition will take place in Schwäbisch Gmünd near Stuttgard. For three days more than 90 companies will show their handmade bike-products. Fixie Inc. will be there, as well as other brands known for high quality road and track bikes like Cicli Berlinetta or Geekhouse Bikes. A Münster-based bike company also will be there; Quitmann will show their classic steel bikes that are manufactured here in Münster. This show will definitely be worth a visit.

Sky, the founder, also loves to take photographs and the last few years he made a lot. From framebuilders, bikes, events or anything related to the bike community he took pictures and now he will release a huge photobook with the best shoots.
Check out the following previews of the book and stay tuned. It will be released pretty soon…

Nice video-edit of a group of skateboarders riding their bikes through New Zealand for 12 days and skating spots along their way. That’s how life should be like! Well, at least for 12 days…

Fahrradprojekt in Münsters Partnerstadt Lublin

Fahrradprojekt statt. Hierbei treffen sich Fahrradbegeisterte aus
Deutschland, Polen und der Ukraine. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Touren und alles
rund ums Thema Fahrrad.

…also saugünstig!!!
Unterbrinngung passiert in der Europäischen Begegnungsstätte in Nasutów
www.nasutow.pl ,15 km von Lublin entfernt.

Vielleicht hat ja der ein odere andere Bock nach Lublin zu fahren… zum
internationalen Polotunier etc.pp. Ideen sind sicher willkommen!!!
