For all of you who like the Brooks Swallow but shy away from buying one because of the price, this saddle might be the alternative: The Gran Compe Saddle by Dia Compe from Japan is a beutiful leather saddle on a steel rail that comes with an adjusting tool for the tightening mechanism. Seen at Tokyo Fixed Gear for decent 80 GBP. Availeble in brown, black and white.
Wie damals schon die Beatles aufforderten, so wollen auch wir nun mal einen kleinen Aufruf starten.
Wir würden uns sehr darüber freuen, wenn Fixie interessierte und Fahrer sich mal hier in den Kommentaren verewigen, so dass man mal einen kleinen Überblick über die Lage in Münster bekommt.
Es wäre von Vorteil, wenn ihr auch eure Mail Adressen angebt, so dass man vielleicht auch mal eine Rundmail schreiben kann.
Unter Anderem möchten wir natürlich herausfinden wie die Bereitschaft und das generelle Interesse aussieht, da wir ganz gerne auch mal das ein oder andere kleine Event organisieren wollen. Z.B. eine kleine Premiere von “Fixed City” oder auch einem Alleycat.
Wäre natürlich klasse, wenn da dann auch Leutchen kommen würden…

Benny Gold did it again. A 2010 version of the MASH Cinelli will be availeable and will be previewed at Interbike this week. Colours will be green and classic gray.
Not really clear to me is, if the new frame still has the pursuit geometry of the classic MASH Cinelli. The top tube seems to be straight, but the bike isn’t standing on even ground. Well, we’ll see.
The guys from Stuttgart Fixed Gear had a crazy idea. They thought about cycling around the whole Bodensee on one day with a fixed gear. Its about 250 KM and do-able, but it needs really really big balls. Respect.

Es war ursprünglich eine Schnapsidee von mir mit dem Fixie um den kompletten Bodensee zu fahren. Ungefähr zwei Monate sind seit dieser Idee vergangen, gestern wurde sie in die Tat umgesetzt. Nachdem unmengen von Karten, GPS-Tracks und Wetterberichte durchforstet worden sind, ging es Freitags nach Konstanz. Samstags um 5:15 Uhr begann die lange Reise durch die Länder Deutschland, Österreich und Schweiz….
Wir sind sind lebendig nach 250 km (1050 Höhenmeter), 42735 Kurbelumdrehungen (44×16) und 12:59 Stunden(10:44 Fahrzeit) wieder an unserem Ausgangspuntk angekommen.
